Day 1: Queen Alia International Airport – Amman Hotel
Arrival at the Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, our airport representative will wait for you before the immigration desk holding a sign with your name and will assist you with the visa procedures (please don’t miss him or proceed without him). Our airport representative will walk you through customs and to the luggage hall, then you will be transferred to your hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Amman Hotel – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Karak – Dana Nature Reserve
After breakfast, visit the St. George Church in Madaba with its famous mosaic map. Then, drive to Mt. Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. Drive along the King’s Highway to Karak to visit the immense Crusaders Castle. Ending the day with a transfer to Dana Nature Reserve for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Dana Nature Reserve – 7-hour hike in Wadi Feynan – Feynan Campsite
After breakfast, start hiking from Dana Nature Reserve to Wadi Feynan. You have an experienced English-speaking hiking guide with you from today. All meals (B, L, D) are included during hike days, along with a nice Bedouin cup of tea, Water, soft drinks, Camping equipment, a Jeep, and a chef to prepare your meals. Today you hike a spectacular downhill walk from Dana to Feynan through the sandstone gorge of Wadi Dana. Total of 18 km hiking – 6-7 hours. Overnight in a campsite in Wadi Feynan. Sleeping bags are not included, so make sure to bring your own.
Day 4: Feynan Campsite – 8-hour hike in Wadi Abu Alsakeen – Wadi Araba Campsite
After breakfast, continue your hik from Wadi Feynan to Wadi Abu Alsakeen where you will have lunch. Then, continue inside Abu Alsakaeen in Wadi Araba where you will arrive to your private campsite for dinner and overnight.
Your luggage will be transferred with the jeep to the camping place. And you will have a donkey available today to carry your belongings.
Total of 22 km hiking – 7-8 hours
Day 5: Wadi Araba Campsite – 8-hour hike in Wadi Araba – Shakarit Musaid Campsite
After breakfast, hike through Wadi Araba Desert to the beautiful mountains from where you have beautiful views over the surrounding area. A part of today you will be hiking uphill. Overnight on private camping at Shakarit Musaid.
Total 19 km hiking – 7-8 hours.
Day 6: Shakarit Musaid Campsite – Little Petra – Petra – Little Petra Campsite
After breakfast, transfer by jeep to Siq al Barid (“Little Petra”) for a first taste of one of the seven worlds wonders. Siq al Barid means cold canyon in Arabic. From here you will climb up the steps and hike the back door route to the Monastery, one of Petra’s largest carved façades. This route gives also beautiful views over the surrounding area. At the end of your day, you will be transferred back to Little Petra Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Little Petra Campsite – Petra Visit – Petra Hotel
After breakfast, explore Petra, one of the seven world wonders. Entry by Siq and visit the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, Colonnaded Street etc. after lunch inside Petra you will still have time to visit the Monastery and/or the High Place of Sacrifice today. It is a lot of climbing but worth the view! After the visit, drive to your hotel in Petra for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Petra Hotel – hike in Wadi Rum – Wadi Rum Camp
After breakfast, drive to Wadi Rum, famous from the red sand and rock formations. You will enjoy a full day hiking in Wadi Rum Disi area through the beautiful different colors of sand. After the hike, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a camp in Wadi Rum.
Day 9: Wadi Rum Camp – morning hike in Wadi Rum – Dead Sea Hotel
After breakfast, enjoy your last few hours of hiking in Wadi Rum in the morning. After lunch (included), you will be transferred to the Dead Sea for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Free day in the Dead Sea
Today, enjoy a day of leisure and relaxation in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the earth’s surface. Float in the salty waters and try out the famous healing mud. overnight stay at a hotel in the Dead Sea.
Day 11: Dead Sea Hotel – Queen Alia International Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia International Airport 3 hours prior to departure time.
