Day 1: Arrival Queen Alia Airport — Amman
Arrival at Amman Queen Alia International airport. After a quick and easy procedure you go through customs, through the luggage area into the arrival hall. Note that the visa is at your own costs (40 JD/57 USD per person). Your driver will wait for you in the arrival hall, also holding a name sign and he will transfer you to your hotel in Amman for overnight, including breakfast.
Day 2: Amman – Roman Theater—The Citadel—Jerash—Amman
After breakfast today you will make a city tour in Amman with visiting the Citadel and the Roman Theater. Then drive toward one of the best preserved old Roman provincial city, Jerash. After your tour of Jerash, you will have lunch at the Artemis Restaurant in Jerash city, before transfer back to Amman. In the afternoon the guide will take you to visit the vegetable market in the old downtown of Amman together. A public place that has been visited for many decades. On this trip you will get to experience the hustle and bustle of the city, interact with interesting locals and get a glimpse of the live of Jordanians. Tonight you will learn how to cook Tabbouleh, Humus, Maqloubeh and a desert or one of the local dishes available at the menu. Enjoy your dinner! Overnight in Amman including bed and breakfast
Day 3: Amman – Ajloun — Petra
Approximate at 07.30 am you will leave your hotel in Amman to Ajlune to visit Ajlune castle and have a view there. In Ajloun you can have two options of local experience to try.
Explore the Farm:
The experience starts at the gate of the farm, where you can see the farm animals (horses, goats, and chicken) Round in the farm and check the fresh vegetables and fruits, where you can participate in the Harvesting, cultivating with the farmer. For the animals; the client can participate in feeding them and pumping the goats then enjoy a cup of fresh milk.
Cooking Experience:
Enjoy cooking in the middle of Nature! Join one of our Local chefs and learn the secrets of cooking favorite Jordanian dishes in front of your eyes, listen carefully to his tips and secrets. The organic farm cooking experience gives you the opportunity to explore two of the most delicious and traditional meals in Jordan
– Sajyeh: Traditional Jordanian dish, made of chicken or beef, served with Salads, Seasonal Fruits, Chilled Juice, and water.
– Gallayeh: Traditional Jordanian dish, made of Tomato and Onion, served with Salads, Seasonal Fruits, Chilled Juice, and water. After finishing this tasty meal, enjoy a cup of tea made on firewood.
After this day, you will join your driver for transfer to Petra for overnight. Overnight stay in Petra. , including bed and breakfast
Day 4: Petra
Full day to explore one of the seven world wonders. After your visit to the Siq, Treasury, Street of Facades, Theatre and Colonnaded Street you still have time to see: the Monastery and/or the High Place of Sacrifice. It is a lot of climbing, but worth the views!
Lunch suggestion inside Petra: the local Tent Restaurant or Basin Restaurant operated by 5* Crown Plaza Hotel.
At sunset you will learn how to bake Taboon Bread with a local family who uses the traditional Taboon bread ovens. After you will learn how to prepare a simple dish called Fattah, incorporating the Taboon Bread into the meal. It’s a very traditional Bedouin meal, that has been made for centuries. Day 5: Petra—Mansaf!
Free morning to visit Petra. If you did not had the chance to visit the High Place of Sacrifice and/or the Monastery the day before, then now is your chance! You could also think about visiting the Royal Tombs. In the afternoon you will go with your guide to the butcher to buy the ingrediants that you will need for tonight. In the evening you will join another local family to have a new cooking experiance. You will bring all the ingredients you got today and together you will prepare Mansaf ! Overnight at your hotel in Petra, incluidng bed and breakfast
Day 6: Petra — Wadi Rum, Bedouin Zarb
Drive to Wadi Rum for a half day jeep tour inside the protected area. Wadi Rum is famous about the Red Sand and beautiful rock formations. Upon arrival you may decide if you would like to include a camel ride or start directly with your jeep tour. Lunch will be freshly prepared by your driver. And of course you can give him a hand! Enjoy preparing a chicken barbeque together. End your jeep tour at a campsite located in the middle of the desert. The camp has sanitaire facilities and private tents. In the evening you will learn how to prepare Zarb. This is a dish cooked under the ground. Learn how to prepare this special dish with the local Bedouins of Wadi Rum.
Day 7: Wadi Rum—Dead Sea
After breakfast drive to the Dead Sea, lowest point on the earth’s surface. Today is all about relaxing, float in the salty waters and try out the famous healing mud. There is no cooking course included for today as you have deserved a day of complete relaxation after all the cooking you have done! Overnight at the Dead Sea, including bed and breakfast.
Day 8: Departure back home
Transfer to the airport in Amman for departure. You would need to leave the hotel 3 hours in advance of your departure time.
